Bi-County. Bi-State. One Mission.
The Mission of TFQC is:
To reduce the impact of tobacco and nicotine use in our community.
How do we do this?
- Increase the knowledge of our community about the impacts of tobacco and nicotine.
- Strengthen tobacco and nicotine-related policies in our community.
Our Structure
The bi-state Tobacco-Free QC Coalition, or TFQC, is comprised of a variety of member organizations and individuals dedicated to reducing the impact of tobacco and nicotine use in the Quad Cities. This group meets routinely throughout the year to discuss the direction of the Coalition.
Members of the TFQC Coalition form workgroups as needed to address the issue of tobacco and nicotine by focusing on initiation, prevention and reduction through cessation, education and influencing policy change.
Community Education
TFQC shares information to youth and adults alike. ISTEP programs develop student leadership and advocacy. Public presentations are also available for staff training and community education.
Stronger Policies
TFQC believes that public spaces and housing should be safe and healthy areas. We work with local leaders to strengthen and clarify policies.
Strategic Plan
TFQC created our current Strategic Plan in 2017. If you would like to view the whole document, please click below.
